Ready when you are.

Whether you are bringing a puppy home, breeding the next litter, or want meaningful work on the road, there is a place for you here.

How it works

Built for anxious puppy parents. On purpose.

Buying a puppy from a distance is stressful, and this industry is full of horror stories. Here is exactly how we make the journey safe, transparent, and even a little joyful.

🛡️

Vetting that means something

Every Pup Nanny passes a criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and USDA Class T transporter registration. Then they complete our welfare protocol training before their first trip.

🔒

Escrow protects everyone

Your payment is held securely and only released after you confirm your puppy arrived safe and sound. No wire transfers, no gift cards, no trust falls with strangers.

📋

Compliance, handled

Health certificates and state entry requirements vary. Our system generates the exact checklist for your route so nothing is missed, and documents are verified before the trip.

The Pup Voyage Transport Protocol

Developed with veterinary input, required on every trip.

  • Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old with a current health certificate
  • Climate controlled cabin travel, never cargo
  • Rest, water, and potty breaks on a set schedule
  • Secure crating or harness appropriate to age and size
  • Photo check-ins at pickup, rest stops, and delivery
  • 24/7 support line and vet escalation plan on every trip

What it costs

Most trips fall between $400 and $1,200 depending on distance and timing. You will see a clear estimate before you post, transparent proposals from transporters, and one simple price at booking. The platform fee is built in. No surprises at the curb.

💡 Compare that to traditional pet shippers, which often start north of $2,000 for long routes, or classified-ad strangers with no vetting, no insurance, and no accountability.

A typical journey

1

Before the trip

Your breeder shares records, our system verifies the health certificate, and your nanny confirms the plan with you in chat.

2

Pickup day

Condition photos at pickup are logged before wheels roll. You will know the moment your pup is on the way.

3

On the road

Updates at every milestone. Message your nanny any time. Significant delays automatically alert our support team.

4

Arrival

You inspect your puppy, confirm in the app, and payment releases. Your review helps the next family choose well.

Common questions from breeders

The short versions. More detail on the FAQ page.

Do my buyers have to use it?

No. It is simply an option you offer. Buyers who live nearby will still pick up in person, and that is great too.

Who vets the transporters?

We do. Background checks, driving records, USDA registration, and welfare training, verified before they can accept a single trip.

What does it cost me?

Nothing. Breeders never pay. You earn a bonus when referred trips complete.

🤝

Never on your own

Route checklists, message templates, a 24/7 support line, and a vet escalation plan on every trip. We built the tools so you can focus on the pup.

What it takes to wear the badge

We are picky, and we are not sorry about it. Families trust us with brand new family members. Here is the bar:

  • Criminal background check and clean motor vehicle record
  • USDA Class T transporter registration (we walk you through it)
  • Real experience with dogs, references welcome
  • Reliable, climate controlled vehicle
  • Pup Voyage welfare protocol training and quiz
  • A short intro video so families can meet the real you

The USDA registration is a federal requirement for anyone transporting animals for pay. Plenty of platforms look the other way. We do not.

A realistic look at earnings

Transporters set their own fees, and trips vary widely. As a rough guide:

Regional trip (under 500 mi)$250 to $500
Mid-range (500 to 1,200 mi)$500 to $900
Cross-country$900 to $1,800

Figures are illustrative for the pilot phase, before fuel and expenses. Top-rated nannies get matched first.

Love dogs? Love the road?

Applications for our pilot corridors are open now. Verification typically takes one to two weeks including the USDA registration.

About us

A family business, built because we needed it to exist.

Pup Voyage started the way a lot of good ideas do: someone we love tried to get a puppy home and discovered how broken the options were. Expensive shippers. Sketchy classified ads. Horror stories everywhere. So we decided to build the option we wished existed.

🐶

Pup first, always

Every decision starts with one question: is this better for the puppy? Welfare is not a feature here. It is the whole point.

🔍

Trust is earned, then verified

We verify everything we can: backgrounds, driving records, federal registration, health paperwork. Then we show our work, in the open, on every trip.

🏡

Small by design, for now

We are launching corridor by corridor with hand-picked breeders and transporters. We would rather do 100 trips perfectly than 1,000 trips poorly.

Where we are today

Pup Voyage is in its pilot phase. That means a small founding team, hand-vetted participants, and an honest promise: we will tell you what we are great at and what we are still building. Early users shape this product more than anyone who comes after.

Want to be part of it?

We are looking for pilot breeders, experienced transporters, and patient early families in our launch corridors.

FAQ

Good questions. Straight answers.

Every transporter passes a criminal background check, a motor vehicle record review, and holds USDA Class T registration. Trips follow our welfare protocol with scheduled rest stops and photo check-ins, and our support team monitors active trips with a vet escalation plan.
You pay when you book, but the money is held in escrow. The transporter is paid only after you confirm your puppy arrived safely. If something goes wrong, our dispute process reviews the full trip record: photos, messages, and timeline.
We are built only for puppies going from breeder to home, and the whole system reflects that: stricter eligibility, a mandatory welfare protocol, escrow payment, breeder involvement, and compliance checks built into every booking.
Eight weeks minimum, weaned, with a current veterinary health certificate. That is federal law for commercial transport, and it is also just the right thing to do.
Most trips run between $400 and $1,200 depending on distance, timing, and your puppy's needs. You will see an estimate before posting and a final price before booking. No hidden fees at any point.
Not yet. We are ground-only during the pilot because it gives puppies a calmer trip and gives you full visibility. Air options with flight nannies may come later.
We are launching in select corridors with hand-picked breeders and transporters, and expanding based on demand. Create an account and tell us your route, that is literally how we pick the next corridor.
A safe delivery option to offer buyers, full visibility into every referred trip, and a referral bonus on every completed delivery. It is free for breeders. See the For Breeders page for details.
Real red flags: payment by gift card or wire, a "shipper" who contacts you out of nowhere, surprise fees mid-trip, and prices too good to be true. On Pup Voyage, payment stays in escrow, every transporter is verified, and pricing is locked at booking.
